DESCRIPTION
A Community Relations Intern will be responsible for enhancing marketing/outreach efforts, streamlining processes, and driving member growth and satisfaction.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Act as community relations rep and marketing/outreach assistant to expand reach into underserved areas
Act as liaison to community advocacy groups that impacts target populations
Develops/build relationships with community-based and faith-based organizations to enhance presence in community
Assist members and potential members with benefit or enrollment questions
Identify any cultural or SDOH barriers to health care
Coordinate and attend community events including setup and breakdown
Track marketing activities, including managing and distributing promotional and health materials
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the Summer 2023 internship
Rising junior or senior actively pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business management, and public relations at an accredited university during internship
Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
PREFERRED SKILLS, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCES:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.
Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills
Ability to travel across state as needed
