    Description

    A FHPS Operations Intern will be responsible for supporting our Federal Health Products and Services (FHPS) Operations Team in a hybrid work environment out of our Indianapolis, IN office. This role will conduct assessments of current processes and procedures to identify process improvement and recommend solutions for corrective actions. This position will collaborate with business partners to create a seamless experience for our customers and resolve potential issues.

    The Elevance Health Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed to provide students with real-life, challenging project work, improve business acumen, provide exposure to senior and executive leadership, and the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare industry! Interns will participate in career and professional development activities and networking events with other interns and associates.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or related degree program

    • Actively enrolled at an accredited college/university

    • Ability to work within standard corporate business hours (7:30 am to 5:30 pm)

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

    • A quick learner who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

    • Excellent Public Speaking and Presentation skills

    • A composed individual able to multi-task, work efficiently and navigate multiple computer applications would be the preferred type of candidate for this position
