Summer 2021 internship opportunity to support the company’s strategic financial planning and analysis processes. The right candidate will receive an orientation to the company and the health benefits industry, be exposed to the practical application of financial planning and analysis and have the opportunity to work with other accounting, finance, actuarial and operational areas within the company.

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assists with preparation of budgets, forecasts, trend analyses, and expense accruals
• Creates and enters journal entries
• Compiles and prepares standard and ad hoc financial reports
• Assist with special projects as needed

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• The individual will be a sophomore or junior enrolled in a BA / BS degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Business related major
• An individual should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including the ability to manipulate large data sets. Microsoft Access skills a plus.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week
