    The HEALTHCARE ECONOMICS INTERN will be responsible for…

    Primary responsibilities include supporting:

    • Projects will support activities centered around fee-schedule based reimbursement in the California market for our Commercial line of business.
    • Intern will utilize suite of Tableau based reports to analyze and benchmark observed reimbursement levels.
    • Competitive Intelligence information will be surveyed and tracked to assess availability and credibility for use in upcoming negotiations and analysis of current market position.

    Functions OR examples of projects for this role:

    • Develop tracking for competitive intelligence analytics.
      • Ensure analytics are available and requested for all upcoming renewals
    • Benchmark proprietary commercial fee schedules to National CMS by service category, review how relative payment levels vary by service type.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Pursuing a degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related field.
    • This internship is from June to December and is 40 hours per week/or 20 hours per week depending on school schedule in a virtual setting
    • Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship
    • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
    • Excel, Tableau, and SQL/SAS experience preferred but not required.
