PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for assisting in the delivery of various IT compliance projects and tasks, with the overall purpose of adequately mitigating the core risks within the organization’s computing environment. Expected to work with other members of the IT Controls Management team, to assist in the creation and/or update of key IT procedures, which should be designed to align with the corporation’s regulatory and legal obligations. Responsible for contributing to the creation and maintenance of key compliance-related artifacts, such as network diagrams, asset listings, schedules/calendars, etc. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Document IT functional procedures
• Assist in creating and maintaining an up-to-date catalog of procedures, documents, and evidence commonly required for security and compliance audits
• Assist in tasks related to the management of IT control deficiencies, including reminding requisite levels of management of key remediation plan milestone dates and periodically updating the status of individual remediation efforts
• Assist in the performance of periodic reviews of user access (UARs) to critical Enterprise systems, including sending periodic reminders, managing UAR responses from management, and helping to drive the UAR efforts to completion and ensuring that appropriate evidence is obtained

MINIMUM SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• College student working towards Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems or Accounting
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Interest is areas of IT Compliance and IT General Controls
• Experience in documenting functional processes, including sub-processes pertaining to key compliance-related activities
• Intermediate Microsoft Visio proficiency
• Experience with SharePoint
