ABOUT THE ROLE

LMI Technology is actively searching for a Software Engineer Coop to participate in analysis, design, coding, and testing of new software, improvements to existing products, or pipelines and reporting in support of a large scale implementation of a cloud-based commercial off-the-shelf investment accounting package.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• You will possess a hardworking "can-do" mindset with focus on the collective success of the scrum team to iteratively deliver high quality products to enable the investments business
• Collaborates with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
• Participates in coding review; identifies defects and resolves collaboratively with development team via Bitbucket
• Executes and supports all levels of functional/system testing
• Demonstrates solutions and articulates business value to LMI business partners at sprint showcases
• Ability to balance improvement of legacy solutions with delivery of new business capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working towards a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, informatics, management information systems, information technology, mathematics or other related technical programs
• Experience with information systems, software applications and analyzing quantitative information
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Experienced with multiple programming or scripting languages (c#, python) and database technologies (MS SQL server; other database technologies are a plus: PostGreSQL or NOSQL: Cassandra, Mongodb)
• Knowledge of rest API
• Knowledge of microsoft SQL server technology stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
• Knowledge of automated testing software (Selenium, Tosca), CI/CD pipeline, and Devops
• Knowledge of cloud platform technologies (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Knowledge of agile software development practices (story sizing, sprint planning, retrospectives)
