    Possible Rotational Areas in Investment Management:

    Market Risk

    • Gain knowledge and exposure to asset liability management and the impact it has on a company’s investments and portfolio metrics
    • Understand various asset types and their corresponding valuations
    • Improve the existing process to combine quantitative and fundamental credit analysis
    • Gain insight and exposure to senior management decisions/views

    Credit Risk

    • Gain knowledge and exposure to credit risk and the impact it has on a company’s investments and portfolio metrics
    • Understand credit risk modeling
    • Understand corporate debt assets and derivatives
    • Gain insight and exposure to senior management decisions/views

    Asset Manager Operations

    • Learn about the elements of ongoing monitoring of our asset managers and related investments
    • Complete operational due diligence reviews
    • Research and learn about state investment guidelines and requirement and identify potential gaps within the current process
    • Understand the core operational processes that drive the investment lifecycle: due diligence, onboarding and ongoing monitoring and the related risks
    • Ability to complete an operational due diligence review
    • Effective and efficient problem solving and communication skills

    Investment Strategy

    • Work on various projects to improve reporting
    • Investment analysis and market insight
    • Review processes for the general investment account portfolios and allocations
    • Develop knowledge of how MM makes investments
    • Gain experience presentation skills
    • Learn key software and tools necessary for MM’s investment due diligence process
    • Build working contacts across internal and external investment managers
    • Exposure to senior leaders in investment management
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Current Senior enrolled in a four year Bachelor degree program
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • Demonstrated leadership skills gained from student clubs, community involvement or work experience
    • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • Strong computer programming skills in Python, R, SQL, MATLAB or similar programs
    • Strong, creative problem solver
    • Works autonomously, self- starter
    • Intellectually curious and agile learner
