    Job Description:

    A Medical Management Specialist Intern will be responsible for assisting to increase member engagement rates for Case Management programs. This will increase our member’s ability to have positive health outcomes and receive care in the right setting at the right time.

    Our Medicaid business is a leader in serving low-income families and people with disabilities through state-sponsored health care programs.

    How you will make an impact:

    • Contact high risk members and explain benefits of our case management programs and services that we offer

    • Assist with completing basic telephonic screening of members to identify health risks. Once health risks are identified, the intern will schedule time for the member to speak with a Nurse Case Manager for follow up and development of goals and interventions.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the summer internship program

    • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing, social work, healthcare management or other relate degree at an accredited college/university

    • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner as Training and Licensing will be provided.

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

    • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
