DESCRIPTION

This NETWORK OPERATIONS INTERN will be responsible for supporting our Provider Solutions - TXEX Medicaid & Medicare team.

This is a hybrid (on-site/remote), paid internship opportunity based out of our Texas offices. This internship will run for 10 weeks and will follow a full-time, 40 hours/week structure.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Supporting Medicaid & Medicare priorities including, but not limited to:

  • Projects designed to improve the quality of care delivered to members.

  • Projects designed to increase the number of members enrolled in Amerigroup’s Medicare and Medicaid health plans.

  • Projects intended to identify cost savings opportunities for healthcare services.

  • Projects focused on identifying and implementing best practices related to provider data accuracy.

• Collaborating cross-functionally with our Clinical, Legal and Compliance, Sales, and Quality teams

• Supporting specialized functions and projects such as:

  • RFPs: The successful candidate will support the Medicaid RFP preparation for the upcoming RFPs.

  • Cost of Care: The successful candidate will support cost of care by leading ideation sessions and driving the implementation of new cost of care initiatives.

  • Quality: The successful candidate will become familiar with Medicare and Medicaid programs and support the identification and resolution of opportunities for quick wins on quality improvements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Actively pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Data Analytics or other related degree at an accredited college or university

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

PREFERRED SKILLS, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCES:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products

• Excellent Communication and Presentation skills

• Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
