    We are looking for a Records Management  Intern II to add to the team this August 2021.  As a member of the team, you will assist with site records management needs including coordinating the delivery of shred bins, and destruction of paper in bins, management of policies and procedures, management of process related to off-site storage of confidential information, manage two vendor contracts to ensure that critical Service Level Agreements are met, and review legislation/contracts for enterprise impact. 

     

    In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to supporting in the following capacity:

    • Develop, implement, and manage an enterprise-wide records management program for all media types designed to identify, maintain, organize, and preserve business records as required by law, regulation, and business processes.  This includes:
      • Maintain and administer the company’s records retention policy and related schedules, including revising as necessary to take account of business and legal developments and ensuring appropriate access to, and retention and destruction of, business records.
      • Conduct periodic assessments related to records management schedules.
      • Assist in the maintenance and administration of a contract management program, including the administration of a contract “tickler” system.
      • Lead a project to transition existing corporate records to electronic storage, as needed.  
      • Respond to record requests.
      • Administer offsite storage. 
      • Develop and administer training to educate active employees and new hires on records policies/procedures.
    • Ensure that records are maintained in accordance with applicable company policies and procedures, including with respect to confidentiality, data protection, and information security.
    • Interface with senior legal, compliance, technology, data, and financial executives as needed.
    • Respond to records management audits and other compliance processes.

    This is a full-time internship opportunity working 40 hours per week from August to February or 20 hours per week depending on school schedule in a virtual/remote setting.

    • Current Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources Management, or other related degrees
    • Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university during the internship
    • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
