    The REGULATORY INTERN will be responsible for…

    Primary responsibilities include supporting:

    Support the California Regulatory Affairs Department by assisting with the filings for the HMO and PPO provider networks as required by the California Department of Managed Health Care.  Preparing responses, tracking, and following up on regulatory network comments.   Outreach to provider population for various confirmations, clarifications, data points, etc.  Assist with management of various projects.

    Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

    • Identifies potential issues, project change, and scope.
    • Leads efforts to identify best practices.
    • Create basic project tracking and documentation
    • Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.
    • Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.
    • Designs methods for integrating function and process.
    • Outreach across several teams to obtain necessary related information
    • Contributes to achieve department’s objectives by serving in support role for researching and implementing solutions and tools for other key operational improvements.

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Pursuing degree in a discipline such as Business, Business Law, Business Management, Statistics, Economics
    • Intermediate MS Excel abilities
    • This internship is from June to December and is 40 hours per week/or 20 hours per week depending on school schedule in a virtual setting
    • Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship
    • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
