Position Summary: We’re looking for a proactive and client-focused Remote Benefits Specialist to support and manage client relationships, guide them through benefits solutions, and ensure an exceptional service experience. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their needs, present benefit plan options, resolve issues, and help them make the most of their coverage. This role blends customer service, account management, and benefits expertise with a sales-savvy mindset.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
Educate and advise clients on benefit plan options, costs, and best-fit strategies to meet their company and employee needs.
Lead client onboarding for benefits services, including plan implementation and enrollment processes.
Coordinate and present during client meetings (virtual or phone), walking through benefit plans, renewals, and enhancements.
Build strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities to upsell or expand services.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely responses, accurate enrollments, and seamless client experiences.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plan administration, billing, and carrier communications.
Keep up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively advise clients.
Assist with proposal development and RFP responses when needed.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Comfortable leading client meetings and explaining complex topics in a clear, approachable way.
Experience with CRM or benefits administration platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Ease, Gusto, or similar).
Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
