OVERVIEW

As a Retirement Services Intern, you will gain an understanding of the various processes, structures, initiatives, and strategy that occur at a corporate level. The program will provide you with a broad understanding of our national Retirement practice and the role each AssuredPartners department plays in the success of the whole organization, while also collaborating with key internal and external partners, including carriers, vendors, technology firms, among others. You will gain an overall understanding of the Retirement Services practice and its day-to-day operations while working with many other departments within AssuredPartners, including marketing, communications, sales, and human resources. You will build valuable skills while working with a fast-paced team and developing time management strategies.

NATIONAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

• Communicate with sales force on weekly training opportunities.

• Assist with set-up, communication, execution, and follow-up of webinar trainings.

• Maintain e-mail distribution lists, as needed.

• Track and provide data analysis around training attendance.

• Assist with marketing communications to both internal and external audiences.

• Develop, edit, and maintain 401k-related marketing materials alongside the Retirement Account Manager.

• Assist in the setup, distribution, and analysis of internal and external surveys pertaining to retirement including employee and client experience management.

• Update internal websites daily with relevant information, such as events, documents, etc.

• Participate in virtual meetings with carriers, third party vendors, and internal leadership.

• Other tasks assigned on a project-by-project basis.

• Travel is expected to be negligible in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be enrolled in post-secondary education, ideally in a degree program concentrating in Risk Management, Business, or Communications.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents, and a high capacity for learning is critical.

• Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft Office and Excel).
