    Description

    A Risk, Controls, and Assurance Intern will be responsible for supporting our Risk, Controls, and Assurance team in ensuring the stability and compliance of audit and regulatory requirements/mandates. Key regulations supported by these efforts include Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), SOC1 reporting, SOC2 reporting, and the HiTrust Security certification.

    The Elevance Health Summer Co-Op Internship Program is an 8-11 month immersive experience designed to provide interns with real-life, challenging project work, improve business acumen, provide exposure to senior and executive leadership, and the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare industry! Interns will participate in career and professional development activities and networking events with other interns and associates.

    How you will make an impact:

    • Create and document results of control testing and review.

    • Provide research support, develop work programs, engagement plans and collaborate with audit team members.

    • Assess risk of IT systems, operational processes, and financial processes.

    • Document business processes dependent on information technology.

    • Analyzes results of specific or general work requests.

    • Having direct contact with external audit firms for purposes of audit planning and remediation

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Actively pursuing a Graduate Degree in either: Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Accounting, or a related program (MSA, MSIS, MBA, etc).

    • Have the ability to work onsite in our Indianapolis office for the duration of internship (May-December 2022)

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

    • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent organization and time management skills

    • Ability to work in a team-based team environment

    • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Access
