Looking to learn all you can about Supplier Diversity and Sustainable Procurement in the fast-paced insurance industry? This 11-to-12-week Supplier Diversity and Sustainable Procurement Internship at Liberty Mutual may be just what you’re looking for!

Supplier Diversity Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend communication and engagement channels and tools to promote the Supplier Diversity Program to external audiences

• Work with procurement team to consolidate supplier contact records into procurement database to improve future outreach efforts; support Tier 2 outreach campaign and new supplier registration portal workflow

• Research and identify potential diverse suppliers within the RFx process

• Conduct national benchmarking outreach for best practices, review current supplier diversity program materials, and compile findings to develop improvement recommendations; presented to SD Core team

• Attend Procurement and Supplier Diversity Meetings (including local conferences, if applicable)

• Other related duties or tasks as assigned or required

Sustainable Procurement Responsibilities

• Provide support with environmental, policy analysis, communication plan development and implementation, vendor engagement, data analysis, special projects, research, and analysis which may require guided collaborations with key stakeholders in a variety of functional areas supported by Liberty’s Supplier Sustainability Program

• Other related duties or tasks as assigned or required

Qualifications

What you’ve got

• You have 0-2 years of professional experience.

• You are working towards a bachelor’s degree with a Supply Chain or Purchasing focus with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

• You must have permanent work authorization in the United States.

• You are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

• You possess strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• You have experience with technical programs, including a strong working knowledge of Excel.

• You must be able to commit to a full-time, 11-to-12-week internship program during the summer of 2023.
