Based in Los Angeles, the Business Development Manager will be working as part of the team at International Enterprise Singapore’s LA office.
The Business Development Manager will support the Directors in the Los Angeles office in helping Singapore-based companies to do business in the US and Canada. The Business Development Manager will also help the Center Director to promote and deepen bilateral trade ties between Singapore and the US, as well as trade ties between Singapore and Canada.
The Business Development Manager is expected to perform the following functions:
Develop business leads and facilitate business opportunities for Singapore-based companies in various industry sectors in the US and Canada
Gather information and market intelligence from US and Canada-based companies, as well as (Federal, State and Local) government agencies, and trade/industry associations via meetings and networking activities
Attend relevant industry trade shows, conferences and seminars within North America to build up a network of relevant industry contacts
Create relevant industry reports on a timely basis to develop Singapore-based companies’ understanding of the US and Canadian markets
Plan, organize and execute business delegation visits and meetings for Singapore-based companies doing business in the US and Canada
You should have a recognized good degree with GPA of at least 3.0.
Prior business or project development experience preferred but not necessary.
You should be a confident presenter with good interpersonal skills, and be able to drive projects independently.
