    The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

    This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August. Upon completion of this internship, outstanding interns will be evaluated for full-time opportunities with NASDAQ post-graduation.

    Objectives of this Role

    Our Team

    We are the face and voice for our Index team. As such we interact across the business in order to triage client queries and are the central point of contact for all stakeholders within the index business. We facilitate solutions, plus document these discussions for data intelligence.

    Project Overview

    This internship will entail 3 weeks of training to be followed by live experience working with clients and developing data reporting.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    Your Role

    In this role, you will be working within a global team, coordinating and delivering support for Nasdaq index and data products focusing on 1) Client Service, 2) Sales Support and 3) Internal Support. Within this role, you will also be collaborating with other teams such as Index Research, Index Licensing and Compliance, and Global Data Products groups within Nasdaq.

    Client Service

    • Answer all client inquiries in a timely, professional manner, maintaining a high degree of client satisfaction and retention
    • Capture intelligence from all client interactions into CRM system for analysis and follow-up
    • Build relationships with clients through email, phone and face-to-face engagements while ensuring 100% of client needs are met
    • Analyze, communicate and escalate client concerns as they relate to Nasdaq product offerings to Direct Manager, Index Operations leaders and Sales Managers
    • Monitor clients for usage control and access
    • Work with the sales team and Sales Manager to develop upsell opportunities

    Support for Sales

    • Support the on-boarding process for new clients in conjunction with sales teams. This involves coordinating access to all data and services the client is entitled to receive both directly from Nasdaq and through 3rd party vendors with ongoing technical support
    • Provide client education and escalation process for index methodology questions
    • Maintain all documents and CRM notes related to sales and service support

    Internal Support

    • Proactively seek opportunities to collaborate with other group functions internally to improve client experiences
    • Effectively negotiate and communicate when working with other departments within the company including marketing, product management, internal data operations, sales and production
  • Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Is working on completing a degree in Business, or Finance, or Economics, or related fields (must be graduating by June 2022)
    • Excellent in critical thinking and communication skills as exemplified by the inclusion of liberal arts courses
    • Superior organization and priority setting skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Has basic Client Services and Intermediate Excel knowledge
    • Have taken Finance courses is preferred but not mandatory
    • Prior internship or work experience in Finance is a plus
