    The Nasdaq Futures Internship Program provides successful candidates with a unique opportunity to experience a challenging and immersive 10-week internship. As participants in the Nasdaq Futures Internship Program, you will deliver real, impactful work within a business unit. You will work on a defined project and partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues and present your project at the end of the program. You will also participate in learning & development opportunities as well as “lunch and learn” sessions with senior leaders.

    This Nasdaq Internship runs for 10 weeks commencing from June to August. Upon completion of this internship, outstanding interns will be evaluated for full-time opportunities with NASDAQ post-graduation.

    Our Team

    From our modern offices in New York, working within Nasdaq's highly successful Market Technology Product Management Team, we are looking to recruit a Risk Management Intern to contribute in the building of a modern and scalable global Risk SaaS platform.

    Project Overview

    As the product and the business line are very dynamic, the nature of the potential projects during the internship period can vary. Potential projects may involve analysis of work drivers to find ways to lower the cost to support the product, creation of a Product KPI framework, shadowing Sales to compile customer and prospect requirements, improvements to streamline the invoicing of pass-through costs to customers; strategies for reducing AWS compute.

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

    Your Role

    The Risk Management intern's roles and responsibilities include Business Analysis, working with Software Engineers to flesh out technical requirements, and the Client Success Teams to understand and communicate customer needs. Further, supporting the Product Management team in working with vendors, Market Data, cost management, etc.

    Day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

    • Wireframes
    • Product Requirements
    • Acceptance Testing
    • User interviews
    • Backlog grooming
  • Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Is working on completing a degree in Business, or Finance, or Information Technology, or Mathematics (must be graduating by June 2022)
    • Interest in Financial Quantitative Risk Management
    • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Technical experience with Python and SQL is a plus, as is experience with or understanding of AWS
