    As a management consulting insurance associate at RSM, you will work with businesses within the industry, experience hands-on client interactions, and have direct access to executive management. You will be assigned to a number of projects, and work on several components of any particular assignment.     RSM's Management Consulting Insurance Practice offers a range of global insurance and finance consulting services. These services include strategy, business and technology transformation, and risk management to help our clients increase their overall effectiveness. Examples of our client engagements include customer journey mapping, business analysis and process optimization, digital transformation, data and analytics, and project management. . Our Insurance Practice also incorporates concepts and tools such as Design Thinking, Agile, Lean, Tableau, Microsoft 365, and Service Now.

    RSM consultants provide quality professional services to insurance clients by performing the duties and responsibilities listed below:

    • Meet with clients and execute management consulting projects based on client needs
    • Facilitate workshops to gather and document business needs, requirements, opportunities and challenges
    • Assist business users, project managers and functional leadership in optimizing the scope, benefits and risks of proposed projects
    • Conduct benchmarking research and analysis on business spend, innovation trends and industry practices
    • Provide leadership when working with solution vendors
    • Discuss RSM findings and recommendations with clients, and prepare and deliver reports about the RSM services performed
    • Conduct analysis, develop and document improvement opportunities; this may include implementation and training components
    • Complete client projects effectively and efficiently and maintain a high level of proficiency
    • Travel to client locations as required

  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Working towards a B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university in the field of Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Information Systems, Insurance, or other related concentration
    • Demonstrated ability of strong academic results in selected field and aptitude for technology
    • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, and ability to apply theoretical concepts and best practices to solve business problems
    • Highly self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
    • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Eligibility to work within the U.S.
    • Ability to travel to assigned client locations locally and nationally is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations
    • Ability to travel up to 60% locally and nationally
    • A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Basic understanding of business processes and concepts in process redesign
    • Basic understanding of technology, including infrastructure, databases and application /
    • Experience with software, such as Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint and Word
    • Access to a vehicle for client site visits
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take guided action Strong data manipulation skills utilizing Excel, including database knowledge (Microsoft SQL and / or Access knowledge is plus)
