    The effective management of capital, liquidity and collateral is recognized as being among the most significant challenges currently faced by the banking sector. Effectively managing those metrics will be a significant determinant of our future competitiveness. Successful candidates will be asked to make a major contribution to Citi's financial resources business planning mandate by leading business engagement and liaising with key partners.

    Financial Resources Management (FRM) is a front-office unit within the ICG which provides in-business leadership on capital and liquidity efficiency. The team's role is to solve complex problems, concentrating on regulatory capital and liquidity management and strategic opportunities, in the Institutional Clients Group franchise.

    The team is actively involved in analytical and advocacy efforts related to regulatory developments with implications for capital activities. In addition, the team plays a critical role in the development of business forecasts and strategy, as it relates to financial resource constraints. Key benefits include the development of an unusually broad perspective on the firm's activities (e.g. MSS, TTS), the acquisition of specialized knowledge of regulatory developments and the firm's financing practices, experience developing and implementing complex analytical processes and technology solutions, exposure to senior leadership, and a rewarding, creative, and dynamic working environment. FRM is seeking to add a AVP to its Capital Optimization group in New York.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Engage with key partners to drive client return metric enhancements as well as strategic initiatives
    • Perform data-driven analytics and develop relevant presentation materials
    • Proactively assess and report material issues
    • Coordinate explanations and messaging across key stakeholders
    • Support and engage in senior presentations
    • Assist with ad hoc projects
    • Take lead in complex problem solving, providing insights, and analytics to support overall ICG capital management initiatives
    • Provide data/analytics for management presentations
    • Develop materials and messaging
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 3-5 years of work experience in the Financial Services industry
    • Demonstrated ability to transform raw data into synthesized storylines and impactful messaging
    • Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across the firm
    • An open mind for critical and creative thinking
    • Self-motivated with strong desire to learn and able to work independently
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Superior attention to detail and level of accuracy
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Knowledge of ICG businesses and Citi infrastructure is a plus
    • Familiarity with global regulatory capital requirement is a significant plus

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's/University degree and certifications a plus (e.g. CFA)
