YOUR JOB

Our team is at the intersection of marketing with large investments, products that are used by billions of job seekers and employers, and petabytes of data. We help scale marketing efforts through technology, automation, and machine learning. Through experimentation and data analytics, we establish relationships between marketing initiatives and company goals. We partner with multiple marketing teams to continually maximize desired business outcomes of marketing efforts by applying all learnings from scaling and discovery initiatives. 

Responsibilities

• Work across a wide range of data engineering tasks - data extraction, data cleansing/processing, feature engineering, data integrity analysis, maintaining datasets, etc.  

• Estimate or forecast metrics and goals

• Designed A/B test or causality experiments

• Conceptualize and create datasets from raw data to be used for analysis and/or model building

• Communicate findings to stakeholders to drive business and marketing decisions

• Write documentation of tools, methods, and datasets 

• Be up to date on how Indeed products work (logging, tracking, etc) and business goals

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Machine Learning, Math, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or equivalent technical field

• 2+ years of work experience in data science, machine learning, data engineering, or analytics roles 

• Proficiency in working with SQL and/or NoSQL database technologies

• Proficiency in Python (or R/Julia/Java)

• Proficiency with toolkits such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn

• Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, optimization, and analytics

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply quantitative analysis techniques to real-world business problems 

• Experience with version control systems such as Git

• Familiarity with Linux/Unix 

• Ability to design and analyze incrementality experiments (AB test, etc)

• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms (k-NN, SVM, DT, etc.)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
