Background & Purpose of the Job

Unilever International (UI) is an alternative but complimentary route to market, servicing white space opportunities not exploited by local operating countries. It is a global business unit with 9 hubs (Singapore, US, UK, Korea, India, Dubai, France, the Philippines and Australia) with a diverse range of products, with expertise in utilizing 3rd party distributors and consolidators to reach consumers in over 75 countries.

The main purpose of this job is to lead the Demand and Supply Planning space for the Americas group. All the business opportunities UI manages are related to imports and exports, so a good understanding of the end to end supply chain is necessary, including working knowledge of global logistics and regulations. Regarding Demand Planning, this role is responsible for the delivery of a continuous improved forecast to the sourcing units, while managing the volatility brought by high and accelerated growth and long lead times. This role will lead the S&OP process for the group, coordinating efforts with Finance, Marketing and Sales across all BPC, Foods and Refreshments categories. The Supply Planning portion of the job is responsible for signalling the production plans to the +30 sourcing sites across the world (UL sites and/or 3PMs), as well as managing the Demand and Supply Reconciliation process with each of the categories and factories UI sources from.

You’re a dot connector: As Unilever’s growth engine, we establish global white space businesses in key channels and seeding Unilever brands to overseas diaspora who crave for a taste of their familiar home brands. This role connects functions, people, and factories around the world.

You’re a changemaker SPEED is the mantra for our resounding success. To serve the underserved, we embrace a founder’s mentality, explore unchartered territories, redesign end-to-end business models to establish successful businesses. As Demand and Supply Planner this role, is a key enabler to deliver excellence in service and responsiveness to the global evolving consumer needs.

You’re a paradox navigator: We make a difference by working fast and smart, nurturing our tribe, winning together and living by five tenets: We will be the fastest route-to-market globally.
