    The Business Development Intern will work directly with our CEO to build and launch our network of Preferred Providers - local service providers that Umbrella recommends to our Members.

    What you'll do:

    • Develop and run the vetting process to qualify local service providers as Umbrella Preferred Providers
    • Negotiate discounted rates for our Members

    • You're an excellent communicator. You write clearly. You're comfortable presenting and speaking on the phone.
    • You're super detail oriented. You never let an email go unanswered or forget to complete an action item.
    • You're outcome-oriented. You set goals and love hitting (or exceeding them)
    • You're persistent. You don't take no for an answer. If the first approach doesn't work, you'll try a second (and a third)!
    • You're available at least 10 hours a week during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm) for at least 2 months.
    • You've able to travel to our office in downtown Brooklyn at least once a week
