The Business Report Developer position owns the critical role of turning business questions into answers that drive business direction and performance. As a Report Developer within the Business Intelligence team, you will help lead the evolution of business intelligence and reporting efforts, and will work closely with all departments and levels of the business to answer complex business questions and maximize performance.

The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to communicate with business stakeholders and understand their business processes and information needs. They will use that knowledge to create powerful information tools using SQL, Excel, and PowerBI. They will be a primary point of contact for data and information requests, and should be prepared to review and clarify these requests to deliver the best possible information products.

What you will DO:

• Review and deliver data and information requests as they are prioritized
• Extract data from the data warehouse using SQL syntax
• Perform basic data analyses using Excel, SPSS, Cognos, Tableau, Google Analytics, and other relevant tools to provide answers to relevant business questions
• Develop action-oriented reports using PowerBI
• Assist with administration of PowerBI including user permissions, report documentation, report maintenance, and user support
• Assist with documentation of data resources

What you will Need:

Education

• BS/BA degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Finance or related field

Technical Skills

• At least one year of work experience with PowerBI report development
• 2-3 years of experience in SQL authoring (SQL Server experience is a plus)
• Experience with analyzing data in Excel and/or PowerBI is a plus
• Database design experience, such as table creation and stored procedures, is a plus

Non-Technical Skills

• Proven ability to work autonomously, finding solutions to reasonable obstacles
• Comfortable working with all levels of IT and business stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented, emphasizing accuracy
• High level of curiosity with regards to data and business performance
• Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities
• Passion for educational growth and learning new techniques
• Quick learner
• Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate technical and business problems
• Knowledge of market research, CRM, and/or financial analysis is a plus
