The Channel Marketing Intern will assist in leading the development and implementation of marketing programming that will drive volume, profit, and share within the traditional HVAC channel as well as alternative channels to market. This role will assist in leading these activities by building alignment with customers (distributors and contractors), sales leadership (internally and externally), sales field team, brand marketing, digital, programs, marketing analytics and product management teams to develop, implement and measure integrated, comprehensive marketing programs that align with the businesses strategic priorities while increasing demand and preference for Carrier products and services.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing marketing strategies, plans, programs, and measures to support and grow sales while improving profitability and competitive position.
    • Analyze programs and recommend strategic improvements based on distributor and dealer voice of customer.
    • Facilitate and coordinate the efficient and effective cascade of information (product, marketing, sales, training, etc.) through the entire channel, including building presentations.
    • Remove this one. Collaborate with Brand Marketing and Sales Team on content, strategy for trade advertising, channel websites and apps.
    • Work to enhance the current dealer development and recruitment experience.
    • Determine content delivery for key marketing events and manage internal content development to align with event goals.
    • Coordinate execution of channel events to maximize attendance and results gained from each event.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • Must be a junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
    • Previous marketing experience is preferred

    EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and SAP a plus)
    • Good understanding of marketing principles, marketing analytics and competitive intelligence
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • The capability of working independently and being a self-starter
    • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and remain focused
    • Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
    • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.
    • Strong ability to work in diverse, cross-functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment.
