    JOB SCOPE:

    • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, IT, Legal and Operational teams to help drive security control implementation for the organization.
    • Participate in Compliance audit meetings, audit and risk management activities, and work with RingCentral Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather audit evidence & draft audit finding remediation plans.
    • Lead policy & procedures review/approval automation project. Automate policy, procedure and documentation review and approval process using scripts, tools, etc. Collaborate with RingCentral SMEs to capture their review and approvals of all applicable policies and procedures. Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, IT and other teams to set up automation scripts and put required systems in place.
    • Help identify other areas for the team where tasks can be automated.
    • Update and/or create security whitepaper and relevant customer facing security material.
    • Organize the Compliance team's wiki content (knowledge articles, procedures, etc.).
    • Assist with audit and risk management activities.
    • Provide input into the overall security compliance strategy.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree (or in progress of completion of a Bachelor's degree) in Computer Science, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Information Management or in similar fields is required.
    • Automation skills using Linux shell, Python and/or Powershell, SQL or similar language. Familiarity with Tableau, Kibana or similar dashboards is required.
    • Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills; problem solver; ability to recommend solutions to the problems you've identified.
    • Passion for cybersecurity and a strong desire to grow in the field.
    • Familiarity with information security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and TrustServices Principles would be a plus.
    • Knowledge of tools like Jira, Github, Qualys, LDAP, Active Directory would be a plus.

    LEARNING SKILLS/OUTCOMES:

    • Obtain experience in solving real world problems to drive growth and improve efficiency.
    • Gain understanding of the process for governance, risk and compliance in information security
    • Obtain experience with various phases of SDLC/Automation projects starting from understanding the problem, performing requirements gathering, planning & executing of the tasks to achieve the project objectives.
    • Learn how to pick a task that is manual in nature, and build and deliver automation scripts, dashboards and reports using data analytics and visualization tools.
    • Obtain experience working cross-functionally with other departments to achieve project objectives.

    • Full-time [10week internship]
    • Must be available to start either June 8th, 2021 or June 15th, 2021
