    Career Guide video has driven 2.75MM visits from Google video search so far this year. We need someone to continue on this trajectory and further define the value of video on Indeed.com. This involves creating and testing new video content styles to improve the performance and enhance the quality of underperforming Career Guide articles. The intern will learn about developing and executing on a content marketing strategy.

On our YouTube channel and Career Guide website, we provide career advice videos to help people succeed at each step of their career journey. 

    We’re looking for a detail-oriented, digital-savvy intern to join our growing team of multimedia content marketers. You’ll work closely with the Indeed.com Multimedia Marketing Manager to test and analyze the impact of video content on Indeed’s career advice site and become a subject-matter expert on video marketing best practices. You will also help optimize Indeed’s YouTube channel and get a behind-the-scenes look at video production for a global brand. If you’re passionate about branded video content and Indeed’s mission of helping millions of job seekers find jobs, this is the internship for you.

    You will learn:

    • The role content marketing plays at a large, global technology company

    • How brands create and execute a video content strategy to drive organic traffic and product conversion

    • How multimedia content fits into larger campaigns and cross-channel marketing strategies

    • How to collaborate with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders (from Product, Social Media, Creative, etc. team) to execute projects and achieve shared goals

    • Search Engine Optimization best practices for written and video content on the world's two largest search engines

    • How to create, publish and optimize video content to maximize discoverability and engagement

    • How to test and measure the success of multimedia content success 

    • How to engage with viewers and cultivate a community that emulates Indeed’s mission of helping people get jobs

    • How to localize video content to meet local market needs and reach job seekers worldwide

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting Indeed’s job seeker video performance and growth

    • Execution on a video content strategy to improve effectiveness and impact on Google SEO and product metrics

    • Testing video content to enhance the user experience and entice users to spend more time on site

    • Presenting a final multimedia project with recommendations for Indeed’s continued video testing and growth

     

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Current undergraduate freshman, sophomore or junior pursuing a degree in marketing, communications or related field

    • Full-time availability, 40 hours/week for 12 weeks 

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Enthusiastic about how video can enhance the user experience

    • A creative problem solver with high attention to detail

    • Obsessed with data and quantifying results

    • Passionate about Indeed’s mission and improving the job seeker experience 

    • A self-motivated, organized and strategic thinker

    • (Preferred) Familiarity with digital video trends (YouTube, Instagram and TikTok)

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
