    What We’re Looking For

    Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan is a not-for-profit managed care organization formed by Boston Medical Center in 1997. We serve more than 400,000 members across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. BMCHP is one of the largest Medicaid (MassHealth) health plans in Massachusetts. We’re looking for a compassionate, communicative problem-solver to join our team of Customer Care Representatives in our Boston office.

    What You’ll Do

    You’ll work in our Customer Care Center on the front lines, helping our members—many of whom are from underserved communities—navigate their coverage, understand their eligibility and benefits, and—most importantly—get what they need out of their health plan.

    This means taking on a variety of customer care responsibilities such as:

    • Providing accurate and thorough information via telephone to current and prospective members, providers, and internal customers
    • Serving as a knowledgeable resource on issues related to eligibility, plan benefits, and enrollment policies
    • Taking complete responsibility for every interaction with members or providers
    • Delivering outstanding service as a means to build loyalty, improve retention, and satisfy company goals and objectives
    • Documenting calls in accordance with departmental policies
    • Working alongside peers to solve problems and promote teamwork
  • Qualifications


    • Requirements for the Customer Care Representative role include:
    • Should be available for full-time employment starting in September 2019
    • This position requires that candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred (high school diploma required or equivalent)
    • 1 year of customer service experience
    • Other qualifications include:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize a high volume of adjustment requests, multi-task, and prioritize work
    • Ability to solve problems independently per BMCHP guidelines
    • Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, or another language is highly desirable
    • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to work overtime during peak periods
  • Compensation
    $18/ Hour
