AWS Educate is Amazon's global initiative to provide students comprehensive resources for building skills in the cloud. It is a no-cost curriculum providing access to content, training, pathways, AWS services.

As the world becomes more connected, security will continue to be a foundational element of technology. Cybersecurity Specialists use their expertise to identify security risks and protect computer systems, networks, applications, and data. In this pathway, which contains ~30 hours of learning, you'll be introduced to the skills a Cybersecurity Specialist uses including network protocols, coding and risk identification and management.

Course Objectives

In this pathway, you'll explore:

1. Examine the AWS Shared Responsibility Model.
2. Identify the security and compliance benefits of using the AWS cloud.
3. Describe the basic features for access control and management.
4. Describe AWS data encryption methods.
5. Describe AWS services used to protect network security.
6. Describe the basic steps to ensure strong governance of your AWS resources.
7. Examine legal and regulatory issues related to cybersecurity.

This survey course is aimed at individuals interested in cloud topics with little or no working knowledge of AWS. You do not need to be currently enrolled in college/ university to apply for this course, but we recommend you use a school email to sign up!
