YOUR JOB

The ESG Data Warehouse Engineer’s role at Indeed is to integrate data from a variety of internal and external sources into an optimized data model, in order to support data analytics activities supporting strategies and reporting across Indeed’s ESG goals.  This is a technical role that involves building data pipelines, defining changes to the existing data models and building scalable and efficient processes to populate or modify data.  You will have hands-on data processing and data modeling experience in a “big data” environment, with experience in data modeling, test automation, and building efficient data pipelines.  You will be part of a new and growing organization and help BI Analysts scale capabilities and business impact by creating a sound data foundation for developing high quality reporting/analysis, insights and forecasting models.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing efficient data pipelines (ETLs), data workflows using cloud platform products

• Managing the datasets - tracking data lineage, ensuring data quality, and improving discoverability of data.

• Designing and implementing data model changes that align with industry standards

• Participate in the design and development of data solutions that enable effective self-service data consumption and can describe their value to the customer.

• Uphold data security and data governance best practises

• Appropriately prioritize incoming and existing requests to ensure alignment across teams and the work being performed has the highest impact to Indeed.

WHO YOU ARE

• 3+ Years of SQL. Must have the ability to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data 

• 3+ years of solid Python programming skills 

• 3+ years hands on experience with big data technologies (Snowflake, GBQ, Redshift, Hive, or similar technologies)

• 3+ years of work experience with ETL, Data Modeling, and Data Architecture.

• Experience with modern deployment and CI/CD practices (Docker, Kubernetes etc) and development in a Linux environment

• Master’s Degree (or a B.S. degree with relevant industry experience) in math, statistics, computer science, or equivalent technical field

• Has a good understanding of  the Data Lifecycle and concepts such as lineage, governance, privacy, retention, etc

• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

• Comfortable and thriving in a new, growing team, building a foundation while simultaneously delivering impact.

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
