EMAIL UX DEVELOPER, JOB SEEKER AT INDEED

Email UX Developers, Job Seeker at Indeed serve a critical role in getting email designs into production, bridging the design and engineering organizations. 

Email UX Developers work with cross-functional teams to build accessible, mobile-friendly email templates for our products; create scalable and maintainable email design systems; define best practices in email development; and contribute to email design ideation and decision making.

WHO YOU ARE

THE SKILLS OF A EMAIL UX DEVELOPER, JOB SEEKER INCLUDE:

• Experience with email & web standards, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Practical experience of templating languages (Apache Velocity, Mustache, Handlebars, …)

• Knowledge of compiled languages (Java, ...)

• Knowledge of ECMAScript features and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, …)

• Practical experience implementing responsive email layouts with semantic and accessible HTML

• Experience with industry standards for building email templates including accessibility, internationalization, performance optimization, email client compatibility 

• Ability to create reusable, scalable email template components

• An understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using testing platforms (Litmus, Email on Acid, …)

• Practical experience using version control (Git, Subversion, …)

• Familiarity with usability testing

• A deep passion for both code and creativity

• Comfortable in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, or similar design tools

THIS ROLE SPECIFICALLY REQUIRES:

• 5+ years of relevant programming experience 

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field, or equivalent industry experience

• Experience developing sophisticated email campaigns

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
