    This job contributes to Starbucks success by delivering data mining & insights into the traffic patterns of our digital platform APIs in production. As more and more customers leverage our Starbucks app, mobile ordering or payments, cards & loyalty programs, our digital platform APIs process millions of requests & transactions daily. To properly monitor their quality, performance and costs, our Continuous Quality team builds data mining tools & analysis to identify trends, gaps, anomalies or issues in our production traffic.

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Design & develop data mining and visualization dashboards across digital platform systems
    • Establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners
    • Analyze data, provide insights, and communicate findings to peers and customer teams
    • Build & support data mining & visualization solutions thru standard development lifecycles & operational support in production, so the data provided is reliable, always available, and compliant with security, privacy and Company standards and practices
    • Conduct research and makes recommendations on data mining technology & solutions
    • Champion deeper telemetry capabilities across our broader teams & systems, to keep providing better success and performance metrics, or forensic capabilities.
  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

    • Basic proficiency with languages used to manipulate data: SQL, Python, C, R, Go, Perl, Ruby…

    • Preferred Experience (or Capstone projects) with:

      • data engineering or visualization solutions, like Tableau, PowerBI, Databricks…
      • production analytics solutions, like Splunk, NewRelic, Azure App Insights, AWS Analytics…
      • Machine learning, predictive modeling or statistical techniques for data analysis
