This position is a training position for entry-level engineers. Incumbents participate in a structured one-year training program designed to provide an overview of the cement plant operations. At the conclusion of the training program, engineers are placed into a position within the company.

++Responsibilities++

• Support the operations in achieving production goals through partnering with experienced engineers and managers in different departments (safety, environmental, operations, maintenance, quality control)
• Participate in daily and weekly production and maintenance meetings
• Learn basic supervisory skills by working side by side with production supervisors
• Support and participate in assigned project work
• Other duties as assigned

++Skills and Qualifications++

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering with solid academic achievements
• Must have a strong desire to work in a heavy industrial environment
• Must have an interest in learning about and working on heavy machinery, and an aspiration to supervise production and manufacturing employees
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to change and respond well under pressure
• Solid interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
