Data Science Internship in NYC
- Responsibilities
Come intern with WayUp, and help us build the product itself!
Help develop our best-in-class product for getting the right jobs to the right candidates. Work as part of our data science and engineering team to build statistical and machine learning systems that will have a real impact on our users.
Projects might include, depending on your skills and interests:
- Enhancing our existing search and recommendations systems, simulating algorithm changes, working closely with engineers, and running A/B tests in production.
- Building new predictive categorization systems using natural language processing.
- Building new statistical models of user behavior that will help us understand the product better.
- Qualifications
We're looking for great math, statistics and engineering talent. You work hard, are fun to be with, and put thought and care into the work you do.
- You should love to teach yourself but be okay with asking for help when you need it.
- Desired skills
Python. Coursework in statistics, machine learning, and linear algebra.
- Compensation- $8000 Stipend for 12 weeks. - Work closely within a tight-knit team and have regular one-on-ones with the Director of Data Science and Engineering leadership. - Take responsibility in a fast growing startup. - Be a part of a collaborative and fun environment. - Weekly engineering and analytics meetings and learn about how product and technology decisions are made
