Are you looking for exposure to the tech industry and early access to our Summer 2025 internship opportunities? Do you want to develop your interview skills and prepare for internship opportunities? Then we have the experience for you! The 2024 Career Discovery Program is a 5 month-long program that is designed for sophomores (rising juniors/2026 graduates) to expand their knowledge in the tech industry, professional development, and ongoing mentorship for further career development.

The Career Discovery Program (CDP) at Expedia Group was introduced in 2021 and we're very excited to deliver the program for a fourth year running in 2024. The program is designed to engage with students earlier in their educational and career journeys and provides great learning activities and growth opportunities for those who haven't had the chance to gain real-life technical knowledge and experience, in a professional setting. This program is open to students of all backgrounds who are interested in a career in technology and who will be fully engaged and committed to attending.

During the program, you will develop your technical and interview knowledge, be immersed in our supportive culture, build connections with our technology teams, and be partnered with a mentor.

This is an unpaid program, with a mixture of virtual and in-person attendance. The second day of the program will be hosted in person in our local Expedia Group offices (Austin, Chicago, Seattle).

About the Career Discovery Program (CDP):

• Learning: Find out about the transformative technology we use to power travel and how to set yourself up for success in various tech careers including: software development, data science & analytics, product management, program management, design, and more. You’ll also get great guidance on how to prepare for our application process
• Insight: Gain knowledge of what life is like working for a global travel technology company, experiencing our culture and values
• Networking: Meet with other like-minded university students, current Expedia Group graduates and hear expert advice from our business leaders
• Mentorship: Build a relationship with our mentoring network and receive invaluable support for future Expedia Group intern application processes
• Support: Connect with our Expedia Group Early Careers team and receive advice on how to increase your chances of securing an internship
• Merchandise: Also known as swag. You’ll receive free fun giveaways!

Who You Are:

• Available to commit to the program dates: March 19th - 20th, 2024 (Time to be confirmed)
• Able to commit to 4 months of mentorship in the following months (April-July)
• Available to come onsite to our Austin, Chicago, or Seattle office on Thursday, March 20th.
• Graduating in 2026 with a bachelor’s degree in a technical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math)
• Interested in a career in Technology.
• Eligible to work in the USA

• Tuesday, March 19th (Virtual)
• Wednesday, March 20th (In-Person)
• Followed by 4 months of ongoing mentorship
