  • Responsibilities

    Position Responsibilities

    • Receives and completes daily Track-It™ facilities work orders. Work orders include, but are not limited to: minor electrical/lighting, plumbing, drywall, painting, and ceiling tile repairs.
    • Provides support on construction, repair, and maintenance activities such as landscaping, framing, modular assembly (cubicles), fabrication, painting, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
    • Support all department moves, adds, or changes, including inter-office transportation.
    • Operate a forklift to relocate materials and tooling.
    • Utilize aerial platforms such as scissor and boom lifts in order to repair equipment such as lighting and banners.
    • Conference room / special event setup.
    • Custodial maintenance support (in the event of an emergency).
    • Assist with preventative maintenance on all equipment such as machinery, building electrical systems, plumbing, modular systems, HVAC, etc.
    • Assist in monthly EH&S inspections.
    • Assists with processing waste streams such as recycling, universal waste, and hazardous materials.
    • May need to assist other departments in order to meet milestones or deadlines.
  • Qualifications
    • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US-only data systems
    • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1-2 years’ experience in facilities maintenance, or equivalent general construction/trade experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
    • Valid California driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery related to Facilities Maintenance.
    • Working knowledge of common building repairs such as plumbing, light carpentry, painting, electrical, fabrication, etc.
    • Ability to lift 40 to 50 pounds.
    • Forklift experience a plus.
    • Understanding of and adherence to shop safety practices.

    ITAR Requirement:

    This position requires the use of information which is subject to compliance with International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations/ITAR, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Applicants cannot be hired until they are qualified to have such access. Some positions due to contracts will require current U.S. Citizenship.
