    Position Summary

    Kate Somerville Skincare is looking for a dynamic, driven and action-orientated individual to join the business as our Finance Analyst. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, this is a new role within Kate Somerville and presents an exciting opportunity for a talented, high-potential individual to play a key role in further developing & embedding our Commercial Finance/FP&A function within the business, transforming our data infrastructure and providing the business with actionable insights to enable better-informed decision-making across all functions.

    This role will work closely with the CFO, Commercial Finance Director and Business Transformation Manager to step-change the way we use data to support the business.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented candidate to make a wide-ranging impact across the business and will play a crucial role in the delivery of our growth ambition.

    Key Functions and Responsibilities

    Management Reporting and Analytics

    • Design, develop and implement a suite of Management Reporting tools and reports to enable effective KPI tracking and monitoring in areas including daily sales reporting, customer profitability, product profitability, retailer sell-out insights, SKU productivity, distribution tracking, cost management and return on investment.
    • Deliver actionable insights to Commercial Finance Director and key stakeholders/budget holders across all areas of the business to enable opportunities to improve business performance. Support leadership and budget holders in tracking and monitoring spend, challenging assumptions and driving increased return on investment.
    • Develop a set of web analytics dashboards and reports to effectively assess on-line sales and promotional performance, utilizing tools & data sources such as Google Analytics, SalesForce Commerce Cloud & Listrak.
    • Support the S&OP, forecast update and annual planning processes, taking part in monthly cost center reviews and updating Adaptive Insights with changes to our YTG plan.
    • Production & submission of Unilever management reporting following the month-end close, including actuals reporting, forecast submissions, working capital reporting and country/channel mix reporting. Ensuring reporting is accurate and submitted within required deadlines.
    • Production of slide decks to support key business meetings, including business performance reviews, forecast signoffs, customer business reviews and Unilever brand reviews.
    • Support the analytics agenda, as we look to drive the use of the computational analysis of data and AI to maximize business performance, with a particular focus around diagnostic & predictive analytics.

    Systems and Data Management

    • Support the data infrastructure & reporting transformation project, including the consolidation of key business data into a central data warehouse, supporting the implementation and adoption of Tableau and developing our management reporting capabilities.
    • Own all aspects of the management & maintenance of our data infrastructure and reporting tools including Adaptive Insights & Tableau and the integration of other data sources including NetSuite, Oracle Planning Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and retailer sell-out reporting.
    • Ownership and management of all financial reporting tools and systems, including Adaptive Insights and Power BI, driving the adoption and use of these tools across all areas of the business. Work closely with owners of data sources to ensure data integrity is maintained.
    • Act as the central point of contact for all data & reporting requests and become the Adaptive Insights & Tableau superuser.

    Project Management Support

    • Support the delivery of additional ad-hoc finance & broader business projects as and when the need arises
  • Qualifications

    Skills, Experience and Education required

    • Bachelor-s Degree in Business, Finance, or similar field.
    • 3+ years of meaningful, relevant and progressive post-graduate experience in Finance and/or Analytics.
    • Strong working knowledge of Tableau essential. Experience of working with Financial Planning systems such as Adaptive Insights a plus.
    • Comfortable handling and working with large datasets. Working SQL knowledge a plus.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, an analytical mindset with a strong numerical aptitude and well-developed problem-solving skills.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire drive impactful change within an organization, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, willing to learn, ask questions, seek solutions and actively identify and solve problems and challenges.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with and influence senior leadership and key decision-makers across all levels of the business.
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to express and present complex ideas in a concise manner.
    • Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities while delivering role requirements within required deadlines.
    • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
