WayUp is seeking an Intern to work with our Sr. Finance & Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a dynamic startup environment, will bring energy and passion to everything they do, and will not be afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to tackle projects both big and small.

• Assist accounting team with data entry, ad hoc requests, and general month-end closing procedures
• Support accounts receivable collections efforts to ensure timely cash payment from customers
• Help process invoices and other tasks to support the Accounts Payable team
• Reconcile bank statements
• Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned

• Applicants must currently be enrolled in a 4 year BA/BS Program with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance, with a current GPA of 3.3 or above
• Previous experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software is a huge plus
• Precise and strong attention to detail
• Understand finance and accounting principles and practices
• Must be motivated and have a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to get the job done
• Stellar interpersonal skills and the ability to assist individuals on the accounting and finance teams & cross-functionally
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and provide regular status updates about work progress
