The Indeed Analytics and Recommendations team is looking to hire an experienced Software Engineer focused on the frontend to take ownership of design intensive features. We maintain the current employers’ analytics experience for Indeed customers which translates to supporting 64 countries or 28 different languages. The team is building the next generation platform aiming to empower enterprise employers with the data and insights they need.

As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will help us tackle significant engineering challenges, such as: build complex and reusable components, build and optimize for massive scale, invent new algorithms and find opportunities for abstracting and building UI layers. At the same time, you will be applying engineering best practices, and helping to create a culture of software quality and operational excellence through the organization. You will work with Product Managers, Backend Engineers, Quality Assurance, and other key stakeholders. We are looking for someone who is:

• Responsible for entire features, able to work with a Product Manager on the problem being solved.
• Energetic, driven, committed, and highly analytical.
• A trained problem solver who is not intimidated by complex cross functional engineering challenges.
• Passionate about software quality, improving the design/development process, and building highly available systems.
• Obsessive about providing the best possible customer experience.

Requirements: 

• BS in Computer Science or related area, or relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience with programming languages and technologies such as ReactJS, HTML/CSS, Webpack, and Javascript/Typescript.
• Experience integrating with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Basic understanding of container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations.
• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud services is a plus.

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
