Apply, a New York City-based sticker brand, is seeking a part-time fulfillment lead (starting wage: $18 / hour) to help manage our distribution center at our NYC headquarters in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The role will begin as a part-time (20 hours / week), with opportunity to expand into a broader full-time creative operations role.

• Receiving & Quality Assurance: take in parcels from our suppliers; examine & document the state of each package; determine conformity to quality guidelines; share conclusions with broader ops & product teams.

• Orchestrate Fulfillment: assemble sticker components into finished products by broader in-house & distributed fulfillment team. Pick, pack, ship, and track direct-to-consumer orders & product samples to partners. Keep space organized & relevant team updated along the way.

• Triage Incidents: work with Apply partners, customers, and team to understand where parcels may have gone awry; resolve briskly & fairly; document learnings; and update relevant teammates along the way.

• Manage Inventory: keep track of product components, factoring in daily fluctuations resulting from inbound parcels, outbound orders, defective product, etc, partnering with the Product Team to replenish, as necessary. Enter, manage, and reconcile inventory data for the Apply product team.

• Process Improvement: identify bottlenecks & risks in our workflow and propose solutions for refining it. Document changes to enable broader organization to level-up.

• Enthusiasm: interest in consumer products & delivering an exceptional product experience.

• Attention to detail: able to spot product defects from a mile away.

• Organized: great at managing a physical space with high volumes of inventory and packaging parcels with precision.

• Clear proactive communicator: concisely provides context on an issue; explain potential solutions; and thoughtfully leave notes for other team members.

• Physically able to carry boxes of product weighing up to 40lbs. We have dollies and use cars, but moving boxes will be a daily essential.

• Predictable schedule: Can commit to specific hours to be worked at least week in advance, if not a regular schedule.

• Maintains valid driver’s license. Not an everyday essential, but one that will come in handy. Owning or having access to a car, however, is not necessary.

• You love stickers! You’re Interested in art, craft, design, and creativity. Apply partners with a variety of artists and you’ll get to see their collaborations with Apply first. Plus, you may discover new artists through their collaborations with Apply.

• Inventory management experience: through Shopify or another comparable system.

• Proficiency with our tech stack: Google Drive, Google Sheets, Shopify, Faire, Shippo, and Slack, and/or desire to learn these programs.
