  • Responsibilities

    In this position you will be a major contributor on a small, focused, multi-site team delivering web applications. You will work closely with cross functional teams including design, design services/CAD, software, datasheet, and systems teams to deliver robust, scalable, and reliable software web apps to meet mission-critical design objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Leverage experience and creativity to drive new innovative software applications and components
    • Collaborate with team members, testers, and stakeholders to develop, test, and support product features
    • Follow best practices in an agile software development environment
    • Contribute to documentation and delivery of software
    • Adhere to coding standards as set by team lead and management
    • Interface with third party systems
    • Model core Cirrus values such as Continuous Improvement
  • Qualifications

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • MS or BS in Computer Science or Electrical or Computer Engineering
    • Experience with MVC and OOP design patterns
    • Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Agile, lean, or similar development methodologies/experience
    • Experience with at least one web framework (e.g. Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, Java Tapestry)
    • Working knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
    • Self-motivated and able to work in a small team with minimal supervision
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    • Prior experience developing web applications
    • Prior experience working within an Agile environment
    • Experience with test-driven development
    • Experience with version control frameworks
    • Linux experience
    • XML
