The Interview Scheduling Platform team is seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to help us design, build, and launch new GraphQL APIs and React Components that deliver an unmatched scheduling experience, to ensure every Jobseeker who wants an Interview, gets one!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, QA, and other engineers to design product experiences

• Build performant & reliable GraphQL APIs in Kotlin that can scale to hundreds of millions of requests a day

• Build frontend components that can be embedded into other products using modern React and efficiently interact with the aforementioned GraphQL APIs

• Continually improve our technical stack and processes

• Maintain existing tools and infrastructure as necessary

• Participate in usability testing

• Work as part of a team to deliver large, cross-organizational projects

• Prioritize and plan projects that deliver initial value and can be iterated on via A/B tests

THE TEAM:

The Scheduling & Availability organization within Indeed is responsible for the platform that powers interview scheduling capabilities between Employers & Jobseekers across all of Indeed's products. Anytime an interview needs to happen on Indeed, it’s coordinated using our team’s technology. We own the APIs, datastores, and the Frontend Component Library.

Within the Scheduling & Availability organization, the Interview Scheduling Platform team is responsible for the growth & scale of our systems. We are a full stack team dedicated to:

• Architecting & Implementing foundational GraphQL APIs & React Components

• Improving the performance & reliability of our Platform to scale hundreds of millions of interactions a day

• Partnering with teams across all of Indeed to integrate our platform into their product

WHO YOU ARE

You will be responsible for collaborating with the technical leads to design & implement new platform functionality & roll it out to our partner teams across Indeed. We expect strong backend engineering talent with the ability to learn and dive into the frontend codebase to deliver the value of our APIs to our Jobseekers and Employers.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

• Understands the end user and can build simple, elegant solutions

• Thinks about why something needs to be built, not just what needs to be built

• Loves to learn and develop new skills continuously

• Operates collaboratively with their team through code review, system design, mentorship, pair programming, and project management

• Builds performant systems that are observable, testable, and can deliver data-based insights that can inform the team’s roadmap

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.

• 2+ years of experience working with a SQL-based Relational Database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, AuroraDB, etc)

• 1+ years of experience operating in a cloud native environment (AWS/GCP/Azure, K8s/serverless)

• Experience with Kotlin is a plus.

• Experience with full stack application development, including web app development in a modern Javascript framework (React, Vue, Angular), is a plus

• Experience with GraphQL API development is a plus

• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills

• Experience with CI/CD

• Experience with using agile methodologies for software development.

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
