    About the role

    The Corporate Communications team handles both internal and external communications as well as brand, recruitment marketing and thought leadership activities for Avanade.

    The Brand Team Intern is responsible for supporting the brand team in managing the brand internally and externally, developing and evolving the visual execution of the brand, and engaging key audiences.

    This includes managing new assets, templates and guidelines as well as supporting the branding of global initiatives. The Brand Intern is focused on improving and elevating the consistent design quality across the board for all touchpoints of the Avanade brand and engaging our people/audiences to understand and grow the brand.

    The Brand design intern will work closely with the Brand leads to support across several key initiatives:

    • Help managing the visual expression to managing the branded assets for all channels and touchpoints.
    • Help managing brand consistency from a design perspective.
    • Managing our brand site and brand activities to celebrate our 20th anniversary
    • Help driving Brand awareness throughout Avanade and externally in market.
    • Help managing key internal stakeholders.

    Examples of activities include brand reviews of materials across mediums, merchandise management, helping to execute and tracking social engagement for our guerrilla marketing efforts, engagement tracking, and helping to manage our central point of contact with our employees (the brand site).

    Role Details

    Location : Chicago 20hrs / week including 2 full days in the office targeted start date : December 2019 duration : 6 months contract renewable.

  • Qualifications

    About you

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent
    • Passionate about branding, trends in the market and ready to bring a fresh perspective.
    • Proven interpersonal skills to liaise with, engage and manage multiple stakeholders both internal and external (agencies/vendors).
    • Strong design integrity and an ability to be innovative, bold, creative and flexible. Results-driven personality.
    • Detail oriented: strong listening skills; pays high attention to detail and excels at core skills of visual design; layout, composition, typography and production for both digital as well as physical channels.
    • Responsive, collaborative and hands-on team player.
    • Experience with working under pressure and tight deadlines.
    • Experience working remotely is a plus
    • Strong GPA (3.2 GPA min)
    • Exceptional design and communication skills and experience with multi-cultural teams

    Your skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PPT) and some experience with the creative process and analytics - Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, social media and web
    • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, executing marketing programs, visual identity management and corporate branding
    • Good stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to demonstrate business impact and value quickly
    • Excellent presentation ability
    • Strong time management skills
    • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently
    • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a team effectively
