    JOB SUMMARY

    Lumen's internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study and career interest. Interns within the Strategic Planning and Transformation organization will be part of an accelerated learning experience, to challenge skills learned in the classroom and develop new skills while working on active Lumen work projects. IT Project Coordinator interns will have the potential to work in an agile environment, project managing workflow and driving efficiency through data. The internship will take place in Broomfield, CO from 6/1/2021 - 8/13/2021.

    In addition, interns will connect to our company culture through community outreach projects, engaging with our employee resource groups and developing their professional skills and business acumen through exposure to senior leadership, cutting-edge technology, groundbreaking projects, and a network of mentors and fellow interns.     JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Work with project and program managers, assisting with project monitoring, control, and status
    • Maintain product flow for assigned programs, providing guidance and direction to ensure product owner and user satisfaction and timely project completion
    • Job shadow the role of Agile Coach in Scaled Agile Framework environment (SAFe)
    • Communicate business product owner and stakeholder requirements into actionable items and direction changes for development teams
    • Coordinate, prioritize, and schedule development tasks and actions
    • Coach scrum team and assist development teams to achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
    • Attend daily scrums and all other iteration's events
    • Assist in finding solutions to common team problems and identifying/resolving gaps in process
    • Produce metrics within Jira
  • Qualifications
    • Actively enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university
    • In pursuit of bachelors or master's in information systems, engineering, or business/IT related degree
    • Must graduate between August 2021 - May 2023
    • Preference for cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Intern is responsible for their travel to/from work location
    • Must be available to work 30 - 40 hours, during the specified 10-week timeframe
    • Base knowledge of web/application development and deployment, servers, cloud
    • Experience with IT projects and project management
    • Experience with Lean/Agile methodology, Scrum Master certification preferred
    • Self-starter with strong desire to learn new technologies
    • Positive attitude and analytical, detail-oriented mindset
    • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to prioritize and work on more than one project across multiple domains
    • Ability to collaborate and have agility while making effective decisions
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills which enable interaction with IT partners, business owners, and end users
    • Flexible and adapts well to change
