  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY:

    The Project Management Intern supports the project management team with interactions between the client and the internal organization.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Conduct market research on key customer drug pipelines, funding, and general press releases.
    • Shadow an assigned PM on ongoing pharmaceutical development projects.
    • Generate and issue meeting agendas and draft meeting minutes.
    • Assist in coordination of material and product shipments on assigned projects.
    • Assist with facilitation of manufacturing readiness activities per manufacturing batch and analytical method scheduling.
    • Coordinate and manage billing schedule and project worksheets (ChangePoint).
    • Update legacy project management templates and communication tools (e.g. site org chart, technical flow charts, memo templates, slide decks, project gantts).
    • End of internship summary presentation to PM team.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university (sophomore/junior/senior year) and maintain GPA of 3.0 or higher; in a business or hard science program preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    0.5+ years of experience in administration or customer service preferred.

    EQUIVALENCY:

    Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

    COMPETENCIES:

    Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Excellent time management skills. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pound pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
