ROLE OVERVIEW

The Statistics and Forecasting Intern, reporting to THE SENIOR DIRECTOR OR WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT,is responsible for testing and analyzing unique forecasting methodologies and traditional methodologies, in a real world deman situations. This role will play a pivotal role as we develop both new approaches, and integrations into AI and Machine learning approaches for Accolade workforce models. As a key member of the overall project team you will leverage your expertise to provide analysis and insights into new ways to drive our practice forward. The overall internship will provide exposure to Workforce Management, AI and Machine Learning approaches, Operations, and numerous other functional areas of our business.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

A typical day in this role includes both tactical and strategic functions. This would include:

• Analysis of historical data
• Utilization of multiple algorithms including Holt Winters, TBats, Prophet, Fractal Point processing, and Erlang among others to develop predictive models for a variety of processes
• Analysis of machine learning and AI integrations and validation of output vs, various models to inform future development
• Participation in multi location, and multi national project meetings to present results and recommendations
• The output of this project has a high degree of impact on Accolade and informs future development of scalable and sustainable models for our business.

• We are looking for a person with a passion for analytics, and a passion to learn and explore new ideas and approaches in a real world setting. In order to be successful you will need a high level of mathematical capability and an interest in Machine Learning and AI.
