As an ITAM Inventory and Security Analytics Specialist, you are responsible for managing the data repository representing a complete inventory of technology assets across the business. You examine data and manage integrations from many sources including CMDB, device management, deployment automation, security, networking, and monitoring tools and logs to provide comprehensive visibility and rapid asset identification. The platform you maintain empowers the Indeed security strategy. The data you provide helps identify, assess, and remediate risks and vulnerabilities from the many different types of technology assets.

You are a member of a diverse group of motivated and adept ITAM professionals with asset management and CMDB functions supporting a global user base. You pursue strong partnerships with stakeholders across the business while promoting IT and Security driven initiatives and the value of the cyber asset inventory repository. Much of your time is spent gathering requirements, configuring or supporting integrations, dissecting data sets, creating dashboards, reports, and pursuing automation opportunities that support evolving business policies, processes, and remediation activities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Security, IT, Application and System Owners, and others to document the technology asset footprint on Indeed networks

• This role will be the aggregator of all related data and activities across Indeed by working closely with system owners and relevant internal stakeholders on data collection and improvement projects

• Perform data analysis as needed for reporting and trend identification.

• Build dashboards, analyze data, and provide self-service analytics with actionable recommendations to teams across the organization

• Building documentation to support inventory identification processes, integration configurations, reconciliation and data enhancement

• Identify data integrity issues/gaps and work with system owners to resolve

• Stay in tune with updates to standards and policies in order to maintain meaningful and accurate inventory data sets

• Collaborating with the ITAM team to build/refine globally standardized ITAM processes and efficiency improvement opportunities

• Identifying opportunities on how to better manage and reconcile inventory and related reporting

WHO YOU ARE

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with data analytics, aggregation, and transformation

• Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools to create impactful reports, visualizations, and interactive dashboards

• Highly adaptable and agile in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; able to thrive within ambiguity

• Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral)

• Experience in Data and Analytics lead role in a corporate setting

• Background appropriate for oversight of aggregated logging and event analysis, administration of platform integrations, building/maintaining indexes, data reconciliation events, and data enrichment feeds

• Familiarity with security, networking, and configuration management tooling

• A methodical approach to information gathering and data analysis

• Detail-oriented, with the ability to extract broader implications as required

• Ability to work individually and within a team

• Independent ability to research technical problems and solutions

• Strong organizational and managerial skills and detail-oriented work ethic

• Willingness to work flexible / odd hours at times, based on needs

Preferred

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Information Security, Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent professional work history

• Experience coordinating data pipelines

• Knowledge of various industry frameworks and best practices including ITIL, ITSM, Secure Controls Framework, ISO27xx, NIST, GDPR, SOC, or similar

SALARY RANGE DISCLAIMER

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
