DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AT L’ORÉAL USA

At L’Oréal USA, we work to foster workplaces where all people of every ethnicity, social background, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, military status, and abilities are welcomed and feel valued and a sense of belonging. We believe that diversity + inclusion = innovation & success. That in an atmosphere where everyone can thrive and grow, our business will do the same globally. As an organization, we strive to ensure gender equality on every level, to include more people with disabilities on our teams and to empower people of every ethnic and social background.

A NEW COMMUNITY OF STUDENT-EMPLOYEE FELLOWSHIP

We aspire to develop a unique community of diverse students from across the USA and provide them access, education, and mentorship within the business world. We seek to foster a fellowship of diverse student leaders who could be our future leaders of the corporate world and beyond. We want to share our experiences and knowledge as employees of a global leader in consumer goods with the emerging leaders of tomorrow.

We encourage you to apply for this new program: you who embrace inclusion and reflect the broad diversity of the USA in all its forms, including, but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender expression, LGBTQ+, military status, and people with disabilities. We look to invite 50 of you to engage with our L’Oréal USA community in a new way.

    THE PROGRAM

As part of the Fellowship, you will participate in a virtual kick-off in the afternoon of April 24th, 2020 and an all-expenses paid, 2-day intensive learning summit in the Fall 2020 at our L’Oréal USA Headquarters in New York City. After the kick-off, each Fellow will continue their leadership development through L’Oréal mentorship for the remainder of their sophomore year into their junior year of study.

Day 1: Deep dive into our cross-functional business by learning best practices from leaders through workshops, panels, and interactive activities. You will hear from senior leadership about their career growth, strategic vision for diversity & inclusion within a major corporation and how L’Oréal puts people at the center of all that we do. In addition, you will learn all about the importance of the consumer at a large, global, Consumer Packaged Goods company. You’ll have your choice of breakout sessions to attend, giving you the opportunity to participate in interactive learning engagements, touching each area of L’Oréal’s cross-functional business model. Lastly, you will meet and network with many L’Oréal employees and be introduced to your mentors!

Day 2: This is your chance to put what you learned into action! Compete in a group case competition with the other Fellows on a real business opportunity L’Oréal is facing. Our recruitment team will also work with each attendee on resume review, interviewing tips and career coaching before we end our time together.
