    The Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Labor Relations Team has an opening for a Labor Relations (LR) Representative.

    The position will have a unique opportunity to significantly collaborate with veteran LR practitioners throughout Lockheed Martin, as well as site technical, engineering, and production operation clients in support of the development, manufacture, and sustainment of the most sophisticated aircraft in the world.

    Provides strategic Labor Relations advice and counsels client organizations in the administration of labor contracts, using metrics and analytics for business based decisions. Negotiates and/or supports labor negotiating activities in a variety of roles. Conducts workplace investigations related to workplace conflict and grievance disputes. Advocates arbitrations. Advises, counsels and coaches leaders in such areas as: labor contract interpretation and company policy; employee relations, compensation, staffing and workforce planning, and culture in a unionized environment.

    Collaborates with HRBPs to create/build leadership capability for represented and non-represented employees and leverages company cultural principles to do so. Coaches leaders on positive employee relations. Interfaces with union representatives to build effective union-company relations. Resolves bargaining unit jurisdictional disputes. Ensures client organizations possess the necessary workforce volume & capability to effectively and efficiently deliver while managing labor costs and developing future bench strength. Assist leaders and employees at all levels by developing and consistently demonstrating effective communication and conflict management. Advocates for employees. Commonly involved in dispute resolution, coaching, discipline process, and people movement. Prepares disciplinary summaries including LR-led investigations, considers prepared investigations in preparation of disciplinary action. Partners with Human Resources Business Partners and relevant Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COE) to deliver human resources programs and business outcome focused solutions. Drives lateral connectivity and collaboration within Human Resources and across the enterprise. Delivers data-driven people solutions that are efficient, effective, and flexible.

    Prepares disciplinary summaries including LR-led investigations. Considers Global Diversity and Inclusion, Security and Emergency Services, and Ethics prepared investigations in preparation of disciplinary action.     • Bachelors or advanced degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, or related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • General knowledge in the field of Human Resources, with specific knowledge and/or experience in the area of labor contract interpretation and negotiations
    • Knowledge of state and federal laws affecting the employment of hourly-represented employees (FMLA, ADA, NLRA, EEOC, FEHA, Title VII, State Unemployment, and FLSA)
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive and well-organized ideas in both written and verbal form
    • Ability to analyze complex problems, exercise sound judgment, and appropriately manage conflict.
    • Ability to travel for business as needed – some travel is required
    • Effective project management skills.

    • Ability to engage, influence, collaborate, and develop credibility among functional and program leadership, union leadership, and HR/LR colleagues.
    • Experience exercising data-driven decision making.
    • Ability to interact effectively in a conflict and complex matrix environment.
    • Experience performing investigations, using effective techniques.
    • Familiarity with factory operations in a union environment.
    • Proficient at Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point); knowledge of HRIS systems and/or PeopleSoft software.
