We are looking for a Legal Intern to join the Legal Team for the Fall semester, with the potential to extend into Spring semester. The Legal Intern will conduct research on various complex areas of the law that directly affect Indeed, with the majority of research focusing on Privacy Law. Under the direction of the in-house attorneys, a successful Legal Intern will conduct legal research and analysis and prepare research memoranda. The Legal Intern is a current law student, or a recent law school graduate, with excellent research and analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to support projects effectively from beginning to end.

Responsibilities
Investigate different areas of the law specific to Indeed’s complex legal issues and needs, with the majority of research focusing on Privacy Law.
Legal research and writing
Preparing memoranda summarizing legal research and analysis
Assist attorneys and other teams with ad hoc research and projects as necessary
Requirements
Availability to start from September for approximately 12 weeks with potential to extend into Spring semester
Availability for 6-10 hours a week (preference for split over 1-2 days)
Must be a student in second or third year of law school, or a recent law school graduate, who has successfully completed a course on legal research and writing
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
Proficiency with Westlaw and Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong research skills and sharp analytical skills
Interest in data privacy or technology law (especially HR tech) and interest in the legal areas affecting those industries
Detail-oriented, resourceful and well-organized
Experience with OneTrust, including DataGuidance (preferred)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
